Prof Carlos Farinha Rodrigues

Professor at Universidade de Lisboa / Statistics Portugal (INE)

Carlos Farinha Rodrigues is professor of economics at Lisbon School of Economics and Management of Universidade de Lisboa. Is also adviser of the Statistics Portugal (INE). His main research interests lie in Income Distribution, Poverty and Inequality; Evaluation of Public Policies and Microsimulation. He was recently involved in the projects “GINI Growing Inequalities' Impacts” and “EUROMOD”.

Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg. Its task is to provide the European Union with statistics at European level that enable comparisons between countries and regions.
As a key stakeholder of the European Statistical System (ESS), Eurostat is ideally placed to provide support to non-EU countries and non-EU institutions that are looking to approximate their official statistics to EU and International statistical standards.
